It’s hard to believe that football season is almost here! We’re thrilled to announce that City Tap House is going to host our game watching parties this season. Not only will our club have exclusive access to the bar & reserved tables, every game will be shown on their large screen TV and sound will run through their in-house PA system. We’ll also have our new club T-shirts for sale as well as one other extra special fundraiser we are HATCHing soon, just in time for kickoff and exclusively available at club events. And City Tap House will be donating 5% of sales back to our club scholarship endowment. So plan to join us often, starting with opening weekend.

Additionally, this fall brings more programming: we will have the opportunity to host Auburn students in a career/networking event, continue with our War Eagle Supper Clubs, roll out some community service initiatives and more. We need all the help we can get to continue such a robust calendar of events. If you’d like to volunteer, be sure to sign up today!

Take Me Out to the B(AU)llgame!

Join us on Friday, August 16 for not one but TWO events! First, young alumni are invited to happy hour at Bearded Iris Brewery, located in Germantown. We’ll be there at 5 pm and look forward to raising a glass together! RSVP for the happy hour here. 

Then, everyone is invited to a night at the ballpark with the Nashville Sounds. The game starts at 7 pm and we have reserved a block of seats together. Purchase yours here. 

Stick around after the game for Fireworks Friday! It’s a fun night the whole family can enjoy. We can’t wait!

War Eagle Supper Club


Our second War Eagle Supper Club in July was “molto buona”, as they say in Italy! Once again, a diverse group of alumni enjoyed each other’s company over delicious Italian food. Amerigo graciously donated gift cards to our club to be raffled off for scholarship funds at an upcoming event. A few seats remain for this month’s supper club at Saltine, taking place on Wednesday, August 21. RSVP for your spot right here!
 

 Scholarship Update: 
 

The Greater Nashville Auburn Club awarded two scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year. Congrats to these students as they begin their Auburn experience!

Did you know by supporting the club at events, you are helping grow our endowment? For instance, the venue for our annual meeting donated a percentage of food and beverage sales toward our scholarship fund, totaling more $100.

It was a night to remember for 41 of our local freshmen as we wished them well on their journey to the Plains! We were joined by many of their parents and siblings as well, whom we are thrilled to now welcome to the Auburn family right here in Nashville. Thank you to the many GNAC members who helped make the event possible, from donating funds to volunteering at the event. We couldn’t have done it without you!
