Thank you so much to those who took time to complete the survey last month. Your feedback is very appreciated!

From that survey, we received lots of interest from volunteers who want to help with club initiatives for the upcoming year. We have several committees being formed and will soon get together with chairs and co-chairs to plan for the upcoming year as a team. It’s never too late to hop on a committee;
just fill out the form and tell us your preferences for volunteering.

The survey's results tell us the biggest priority to our members is opportunities to socialize and build community. We hope you feel that your comments have been heard as we continue to announcing group activities throughout the summer, including the FOUR listed below. I hope that you will join us often, and when you do, make sure to introduce yourself! I am eager to meet as many of you as possible and always want to hear your suggestions for our club.

In addition to new leadership, new events, and a new Instagram account... we are excited to debut our brand NEW club website: www.auburnnashville.com.

This new, shorter domain will replace our former website and we willdirect all visitors from the old to the new site. Check it out and visit often! It's a one-stop shop where you can register for events, read more about recent news and activities and soon, even buy merchandise to support our club and scholarship endowment.

So, it's been a busy month but we are only getting started! If you have an idea or want to get involved, be sure to reach out.

War Eagle Supper Club

We announced our first War Eagle Supper Club via social media in mid-May. This is a floating monthly dinner series aimed at building community among Auburn University alumni in the Greater Nashville area. We’ve made the reservation, you just show up and enjoy*!

Capacity will be limited at these events because this is a seated, group reservation at a restaurant. We recommend liking our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages to be among the first to know when the dates and locations are announced.

Our first stop will be on June 17 at Hathorne in West Nashville. There are only a few seats left! Click here to RSVP.

In July, we're going to gather at Amerigo in Cool Springs. Make plans to join us there on July 15! RSVP for this event here.

We are so excited to kick off this series and plan to visit lots of neighborhoods and areas of town.
*Attendees are responsible for their own checks.

Freshman Send-off

Greater Nashville is sending nearly 100 freshmen to Auburn! We are so proud of these students and plan to celebrate them on Wednesday, July 24, from 5:30--7:30 pm at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library.
NEW THIS YEAR: the club will be providing dinner! Freshmen will be our guests; parents, siblings and club members will be asked to contribute $7 per person (children under 3 are free). To ensure we have enough food, please click here to prepay on our website.

Since we are not asking you to bring or provide anything this year, please consider signing up to help staff the event. We need a setup crew, greeters, check-in table attendants, merchandise table attendants, buffet supervisors and a clean up crew. Use this link to sign up for a time slot to volunteer.

Thank you so much for your support of this fun evening; celebrating with these families is a great way to foster the Auburn spirit right here in our own community and build our own club traditions. We are excited to bring this event back to serve our students and we hope to see many of you there!

Auburn Alumni Night with the Nashville Sounds

Root, root, root for the home team and join your Auburn family on Friday, August 16 as the Nashville Sounds take on the Omaha Storm Chasers. The Sounds have reserved a block of tickets for us behind the home dugout. You can purchase your seats here - note that children 2 and under are free.

GNAC members were honored to represent Auburn University at Donelson Christian Academy's Senior Celebration, where Molly Green Morris '89 proudly presented the College of Architecture and Design Dean's Scholarship to her son, Garrett Morris. GNAC president Evan Thomas '07 was also on hand to present an Academic Presidential Scholarship to Jordan Sweeten.
