A message from your NEW president!

I'm Evan Thomas, and I'm the new president of your Greater Nashville Auburn Club.

Originally from Dothan, Ala., I graduated from Auburn in 2007. Since then, I've lived many places, including Nashville, back to Auburn and back to Nashville again.

While on the Plains, I worked as the recruiter for the College of Liberal Arts then as the Development Associate for the College of Architecture, Design, & Construction before returning to Nashville to join my twin brother in real estate. My time in Auburn allowed me to meet lots of great Auburn men and women and I'm excited to do the same here in Music City.

Nashville has been in the spotlight for a long time and continues to grow every day. Meanwhile, Auburn estimates that more than 4,800 alumni already call Nashville home. We have the opportunity to be one of the largest, most robust clubs in the USA.

To start, we want to hear from YOU!

The club has composed a survey/interest form that you can access here. We'd like to know what's important to you. What do you want from this club? What can we do to serve you? How can we meet your needs?

But if we want success we have to earn it together.

The first line of our Auburn creed states “I can count only on what I earn; therefore I believe in work, hard work." Within that survey is a list of committees. I encourage you to sign up for one. Be it marketing or events or outreach or community service, pick a way you can give back and join in. There is room for everybody, whether you have a lot or a just little time to dedicate. We are going to need lots of hands on deck to make this the top-notch club we know it can be.

We have already hit the ground running! We're planning some informal get togethers for the summer, organizing freshman send off in July and already brainstorming game-watching party locations. We're creating some unique Nashville-specific merchandise to raise money for our club and scholarship endowment. And we will be debuting a new website soon.

So now is the time to get involved! Also make sure you are following @AuburnNashville on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date on all of these activities and more!

The Auburn Family is stronger than ever, especially here in Music City. I look forward to getting to know you all!

#1 ) We are in the process of applying for a 501c7 designation. If you have experience with non-profit law and/or this process and would like to help, we'd love your insight/recommendations/assistance. Shoot us an email!
